Doha: HE President of the Investment and Trade Court Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidly met with several Judicial delegations on the margins of the 5th Full Meeting of the Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts (SIFoCC) that was concluded Sunday in Doha.
His Excellency met with a delegation from the People’s republic of China led by HE Standing Member of the Supreme People’s Court (SPC)’s adjudication committee Wang Shumei, Head of Civil Justice in England and Wales Sir Geoffrey Vos, and HE interim chief executives at the Judicial Office Amy Shaw. The meetings discussed reinforcing judicial cooperation between the two countries.
On the other hand, HE President of the Investment and Trade Court met with a host of representatives of the delegations participating in the SIFoCC and discussed judicial cooperation and sharing expertise and visions on enhancing the mutual action, in addition to reiterating the significance of strengthening the judicial relationships to serve the interests of the countries.
The visiting delegations attended a detailed presentation that highlighted the activities of the Investment and Trade Court in the State of Qatar, mechanisms of managing lawsuits and their significance for litigants, as well as the performance indicator that reflects the efficiency of the court.
The delegations toured the sections of the court and were apprised of the functioning of the court on daily basis, along with the services the court affords to the public, reflecting the high transparency and aptitude of the courts in Qatar to serve commercial justice.
