Beit hanina: A young man was injured by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire on Tuesday in the town of Beit Hanina, north of occupied Jerusalem.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that the young man was shot by occupation forces near the Racial Segregation and Expansion Wall in the town of Beit Hanina. The severity of his injuries is currently unknown.
The agency quoted local sources as saying that the occupation forces pursued several workers near the segregation wall and opened fire on them, wounding one.
It added that since the beginning of this year, 15 workers have been killed by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire, during pursuit inside the 1948 territories, or by falling from the Racial Segregation and Expansion Wall, according to data from the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions.
In recent months, hundreds of workers have been subjected to arrest and abuse by Israeli police, under the pretext of not possessing permits.
Since October 2023, the Federation has documented the killing of 42 workers and over 32,000 cases of arrest among the workers.
