Jericho: A Palestinian youth was martyred Tuesday as a result of injuries sustained from Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire in the city of Jericho in the West Bank.

According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources reported that the 20-year-old youth succumbed to his gunshot wounds sustained during an Israeli raid on the city. The Israeli occupation forces stormed Jericho after midnight, firing live ammunition and stun grenades at Palestinians. During the raid on a Palestinian home, the young man was shot with live bullets and was later declared martyred.

Cities, towns, and refugee camps across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem are witnessing daily raids and incursions by Israeli occupation forces. These operations are accompanied by confrontations, arrests, and the use of live and rubber-coated bullets, as well as toxic tear gas canisters against Palestinian youth.

The intensity of these campaigns has increased in parallel with the unprecedented and ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023.
