Amman: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met today with UN Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy in Amman to discuss the latest political and on-the-ground developments in the Palestinian territories.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two leaders also explored ways to enhance coordination and cooperation between the State of Palestine and the League of Arab States, focusing on preparations for upcoming Arab engagements.

The discussions emphasized mobilizing Arab and international support for the Palestinian cause and addressing challenges impacting Palestinian national rights. Key topics included ending the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid, initiating the recovery and reconstruction phase, and securing an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
