Palestinian PM and EU Envoy Discuss Post-Ceasefire Arrangements in Gaza

Ramallah: Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa engaged in discussions on Sunday with European Union Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, Christophe Bigot, focusing on enhancing collaborative efforts in the post-ceasefire phase in the Gaza Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting held in Ramallah, the Palestinian Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of international support to advance the establishment of a Palestinian state. He also highlighted the need for pressure on Israel to release withheld Palestinian funds and to cease attacks in the West Bank, including the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Bigot expressed the European Union’s commitment to supporting relief, recovery, and reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip. He also confirmed the EU’s backing for the resumption of the Rafah Crossing Mission’s operations, a critical component in facilitating movement and aid into the region.
