Palestinian Child Dies from Wounds Sustained in Israeli Strike on Southern Gaza

Doha: A 10-year-old Palestinian child died on Saturday from wounds sustained in an Israeli bombardment of the southern Gaza Strip, medical sources said. The child had been injured in an Israeli strike on Khan Younis last Tuesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli occupation forces continued their violations of the ceasefire agreement, with artillery shelling and military vehicles targeting several areas across the Gaza Strip. These actions were accompanied by heavy gunfire and a limited ground incursion.

In central Gaza, Israeli artillery and military vehicles shelled the eastern areas of the Maghazi refugee camp. Furthermore, in northern Gaza, Israeli military vehicles advanced into central Jabalia refugee camp, with heavy gunfire reported.

In southern Gaza, Israeli artillery targeted the southern areas of Khan Younis, while tanks opened fire east of the city. The ongoing conflict has resulted in a rising death toll, with 73,043 individuals reported dead and 173,417 others wounded since October 2023.
