Palestinian Ambassador honours veteran teachers

Taha Mohammed Abdul Qader, Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain, honoured a number of veteran Palestinian and Bahraini teachers during a ceremony held at the Palestinian Embassy in Bahrain marking World Teachers’ Day 2023.

The ambassador extended congratulations to all teachers in the world, in general, and Palestinian and Bahraini teachers, in particular, on the occasion.

He expressed pride in honouring retired Palestinian and Bahraini teachers who had been dedicated to serving and developing education in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The ambassador conveyed the greetings of Mahmood Abbas, Palestinian President, to the attendees, noting that veteran Palestinian teachers have been the best ambassadors of their country in Bahrain since they arrived here in the 1950s.

He praised the support of Bahraini rulers to education, noting that Bahrain’s educational process is progressing thanks to the unwavering care of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which earned the kingdom global acclaim as proved in specialised international reports.

Ambassador Taha Abdul Qader extended thanks and appreciation to the kingdom’s leadership, government and people for their firm support for the Palestinian issue, and for hosting the Palestinian community.

The envoy presented veteran Palestinian and Bahraini teachers with certificates and commemorative shields in appreciation of their efforts to develop education in Bahrain.
