Palestine Polytechnic University hosts the third annual conference of the Palestinian Student Support Fund Association

Hebron – Together – In confirmation of the efforts made by Palestine Polytechnic University, and in continuation of the tireless and continuous work to serve the local and university community, Palestine Polytechnic University, in cooperation with the Palestinian Student Support Fund Association and the Hebron Governorate Chamber of Commerce and Industry, held the third annual conference of the Palestinian Student Support Fund Association, under the slogan ‘Advancing ourselves is possible and necessary.’

This was in the presence of the President of the University Association and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Palestine Polytechnic University, Ahmed Bayoud Al-Tamimi, members of the University’s Board of Trustees, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham, the President of Palestine Polytechnic University, Dr. Mustafa Abu Al-Safa, his deputies, assistants, deans of colleges, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Palestinian Student Support Fund, Eng. The conference activities, moderated by Youssef Salah, began with a fragrant recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, then the Palestinian national anthem and the reading of Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs of Palestine.

The conference began with a speech by the President of the University Association and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Palestine Polytechnic University, Ahmed Saeed Bayoud Al-Tamimi, in which he welcomed the att
endees and guests, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, the President and members of the Palestinian Student Support Fund Association in the United States of America, and representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Businessmen Forum, pointing out the importance of And the strategy of continuing cooperation with various national activities to serve the Palestinian student in light of the challenges and obstacles that the education sector is suffering from.

In his speech, he stressed the role of the University Association and its vision in enabling students to obtain the knowledge that will enable them to achieve their ambitions in the labor market. Al-Tamimi renewed his thanks to everyone who contributed and contributes to serving the university and caring for its students through various support programs.

In turn, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham pointed out the Ministry’s role in confronting the challenges and exceptional reality that casts a
shadow on the education sector in Palestine in general and the Gaza Strip in particular, indicating that the Ministry has taken practical steps to resume educational life in schools and universities in the Gaza Strip by all available means, referring to the initiatives launched by the Ministry, Which began registering Gaza university students as visiting students in Palestinian universities in the West Bank, stressing that such initiatives cannot succeed except with joint and concerted efforts between partners from Palestinian universities, the local community, and bodies supporting the Palestinian education sector, which is considered the most prominent investment in achieving the Palestinian national vision, noting The Ministry pays special attention to developing and adopting e-learning mechanisms as an integral part of the alternative educational system, because it represents an opportunity to expand the scope of education and provide access to knowledge with comprehensiveness and sustainable flexibility
under the current circumstances.

In his speech, the President of Palestine Polytechnic University, Dr. Mustafa Abu Al-Safa, renewed his welcome to the attendees, and Palestine Polytechnic University’s pride in welcoming the guests of the city of Hebron from the Palestinian Student Support Fund Association in the United States of America. ent that the private sector aspires to in order to enhance its leadership and excellence in a world characterized by high and accelerating competition.

During his speech, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Palestinian Student Support Fund Association, Engineer Ali Atta, extended his deep thanks to the university and all the efforts made in organizing this important event. He drew attention to the vital role that the association plays in supporting and adopting Palestinian students through a variety of programs and activities in various Palestinian universities. He stressed the importance of continuing and strengthening these initiatives, especially in light of the challenges faced by Palestinian students, especially students in the Gaza Strip.

Atta added that the association will continue to develop and enhance its programs and activities, with a special focus on helping Palestinian students in Gaza, as this region is considered one of the regions most affected by economic and social challenges.

The conference included several pioneering activities, including presentations of youth entrepreneurship models (TEDx), and interactive dialogue sessions during which the role of the private sector in promoting educational entrepreneurship was discussed, as well as initiatives supporting education in the Gaza Strip. On the sidelines of the conference, the ‘Graphica’ and ‘Pioneerial Projects’ exhibitions were opened.
