Oil Prices Slide to More Than One-Week Low

Oil prices fell sharply on monday to their lowest level in more than a week:il prices fell sharply on Monday to their lowest level in more than a week, with Brent and US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures hitting their lowest levels since September 10. Brent crude declined $2.16, or 2.08%, to $101.71 a barrel, extending losses after settling 0.91% lower on Friday. US WTI crude fell $2.15, or 2.14%, to $98.15 a barrel, after losing 1.58% in the previous session.

According to Qatar News Agency, the decline in oil prices followed a series of market fluctuations influenced by various global economic factors. The drop in Brent crude marked a significant decrease, extending its losses from the previous trading day. Similarly, US WTI crude's fall reflected a continuation of its downward trend from the prior session.

The recent shifts in the oil market have been attributed to ongoing concerns over supply and demand dynamics. Market analysts are closely monitoring these developments, which have impacted trading strategies and investor sentiment. The price movements are part of broader trends observed in the global energy sector.
