Doha: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the Israeli occupation authorities’ approval to build 764 new settlement units and the plan to establish 17 new settlements in the occupied West Bank over the next five years.

According to Qatar News Agency, the OIC stressed in a statement that the Israeli colonial settlement policy represents a war crime and a flagrant violation of international law and the relevant UN injunctions, primarily UN Security Council Resolution 2334, alongside the legal ruling rendered by the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

The organization renewed its call upon the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to assume their responsibility and spring into action to put an end to all crimes and violations committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, their territory, and holy places.
