Northern Governor, Ali bin Al Shaikh Abdulhussain Al Asfoor, chaired the meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Governorate.
Present were Chairman of the North Area Municipal Council, Dr. Sayed Shubar Ibrahim Al-Wadaei, and government agencies’ representatives.
The council discussed environmental issues related to the regulatory requirements for the construction of garden housing areas and agricultural investment areas to preserve the green area. It also reviewed the regulatory requirements in force in the Kingdom of Bahrain for construction regarding the green area.
The meeting also discussed a review of the construction requirements, with a readiness to present the recommendations issued by this meeting to the Urban Planning and Development Authority in order to preserve the green area in the country, in addition to the readiness to provide treated water suitable for irrigation.
During the meeting, a video on the celebrations of the Northern Governorate of the 50th edition of World Environment Day under the slogan “Beat Plastic Pollution”.. was screened.
