Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, President of National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received Firas Gharaibeh, the Acting Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bahrain.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation.
Al Derazi affirmed the institution’s keenness to cooperate with the United Nations and its agencies, to launch training programmes and participate in the international conference about the right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment that will be organised in September.
Gharaibeh expressed his interest in supporting the development of further cooperation with NIHR, adding that he valued their efforts in contributing to achieving sustainable development goals and promoting a human rights culture in Bahrain..
