The National Alliance Against Drug Abuse (NAADA) in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, under the supervision of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) accredited to Nigeria, honored the State of Qatar with the Medal of Honor for its support of anti-drug and anti-crime programs, as one of the initiatives and outputs of the Doha Declaration, issued by the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria Dr. Ali bin Ghanem Al Hajri has received the honorary certificate during a ceremony that took place in the State of Qatar’s Embassy in Abuja, in the presence of HE United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Representative in Nigeria Oliver Stolpe and a delegation from the Centre for Ethical Rebirth Among Nigerian Youths (CERANY) and the National Alliance Against Drug Abuse.
The National Campaign Against Drug Abuse and the 2022 National Youth Conference are sponsored by Qatar, under the supervision of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, as part of the preparations to commemorate the International Day Against Drug Abuse this year.
