New York, Minister Advisor to the President of the Republic of Nicaragua for Policies and International Relations Iván Lara, affirmed his country’s support for Syria in facing the challenges resulting from hostile Western policies.
During his acceptance via video technology of a copy of the credentials of Ambassador Qusay Al-Dahhak, Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, as a non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic to Nicaragua, Lara stressed the continuation of joint work at the bilateral and multilateral levels, to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Syria and Nicaragua, and to defend the principles of international law and the interests of developing countries.
Minister Lara asked to convey the best greetings of the President of the Republic of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, to President Bashar al-Assad, stressing his country’s support for Syria in facing the existing challenges resulting from hostile Western policies.

ster Lara expressed his aspiration for Ambassador al-Dahhak to present the original copy of his credentials to President Ortega in the capital, Managua.
For his part, Ambassador al-Dahhak conveyed President al-Assad’s greetings to President Ortega, stressing the depth of historical ties between the two friendly countries and peoples.

On August 14, Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Fayssal Mikdad received the credentials of Ramón Moncada Colindres as Nicaragua’s non-resident ambassador to Syria.
