Moscow: The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the newly updated US National Security Strategy represents a “positive step” toward finding common ground between the two sides. Speaking at a press briefing, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that while the strategy firmly defends US interests, it also leaves room for dialogue and the pursuit of mutual understanding.
According to Qatar News Agency, Zakharova added that several provisions related to the Ukrainian crisis could serve as a foundation for efforts toward a peaceful settlement of the conflict. She emphasized the potential for these provisions to facilitate constructive discussions aimed at resolving ongoing tensions.
Earlier, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov commented on the amendments to the US National Security Strategy, noting that they largely align with Moscow’s vision. Peskov highlighted that these amendments could become a potential guarantee for ending the conflict in Ukraine, suggesting a possible convergence of objectives between the two nations.
