Doha: A new batch of licensed Qatari real estate brokers took the legal oath before the Real Estate Brokers Affairs Committee at the Ministry of Justice. The new batch comprises 43 real estate brokers, including individuals and real estate brokerage companies.

According to Qatar News Agency, the new batch of real estate brokers took the legal oath after completing the licensing procedures in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 22 of 2017 regulating real estate brokerage activities, and passing the mandatory training course for licensed real estate brokers.

Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice for Real Estate Registration and Documentation Affairs and Chairman of the Real Estate Brokers Affairs Committee, Amer Saeed Al Ghafri, stated that the newly licensed brokers represent a valuable addition to the growing pool of authorized real estate professionals. He noted that their contribution will help support the continued growth and development of the real estate sector, enhance its investment appeal, and protect the rights of parties involved in property transactions by ensuring they are served by qualified, licensed brokers who are fully familiar with the legal requirements governing real estate transactions.

Al Ghafri also reiterated the Committee's emphasis on the importance of dealing exclusively with licensed real estate brokers, as this helps safeguard the rights of all parties and ensures that transactions are conducted properly and efficiently. The Ministry of Justice is intensifying its efforts to reorganize and regulate the real estate brokerage profession in accordance with Law No. 22 of 2017 regulating real estate brokerage activities. These efforts are aimed at supporting the national economy, improving mechanisms and practices within the real estate market, and providing professional training and development for those working in the brokerage sector, including owners of real estate offices and Qatari brokers.
