NCC’s Equal Opportunities Committee holds third meeting

The Equal Opportunities Committee at the National Communication Centre (NCC) has affirmed its commitment to consolidating the principles of equal opportunities, through developing the necessary plans and strategies to integrate women’s needs and promote gender balance, Sahayer Ibrahim Al Hashimi, NCC’s Digital Information Director and the panel chairperson, said.

While chairing the committee’s third meeting for this year, Al Hashimi stressed the importance of putting in place the necessary foundations to consolidate and promote the equal opportunities culture, in accordance with the provisions of the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women.

The meeting focused on a number of proposals and initiatives aimed at consolidating equal opportunities at NCC, in a way that ensures that the needs of female staff are taken into account.

The participants evaluated the panel’s work over the past period, and discussed its work plan for the last quarter of this year.

They also discussed the committee’s plan for 2024, including a number of projects and initiatives aimed at supporting women in the public sector.

They also reviewed the indicators of the progress of the implementation of the initiatives approved by the committee during its first meeting.
