National Day/ Minister of Justice to QNA: QND Has Profound Significance, Symbol of Our Rise

HE Minister of Justice Masoud bin Mohammed Al Amri affirmed that the commemoration of Qatar National Day carries profound meanings and connotations given its significance in the history of Qatar’s advancement and the nation’s progression; stressing that this occasion will remain immortal in the memory of generations thanks to the wise leadership and its sound vision. In a statement to Qatar News Agency on the occasion of Qatar National Day, HE the Minister of Justice said the commemoration of this day highlights the aspects of the State’s progress and prosperity, and the drive to promote the developmental progression in various fields, at the forefront the legislative and legal system which is strengthened year after year based on an integrated Qatari legal system, adopting the latest successful legal experiences and practices. This was affirmed by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani who asserted, in a speech before the 52nd session of the Shura Council, the need to work on completing the legislative structure to achieve the consolidation of the principles of prompt justice. On this national occasion, HE Minister of Justice Masoud bin Mohammed Al Amri extended his warmest greetings to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and to the Qatari people and the residents of Qatar, on the occasion of Qatar National Day. His Excellency noted that the Ministry of Justice achieved several milestones in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, especially with regard to vital projects and initiatives that keep pace with the projects of Qatar Digital Government, and the sectorial plans of the Third National Development Strategy. His Excellency pointed out that work is now underway to implement 103 legal and service projects prepared under the new strategic plan of the Ministry of Justice (2023-2030), covering various areas related to the supervision of the practice of legal professions, ensuring the provision of high-quality and accurate electronic services for all citizens and lawyers, and providing legal training for targeted categories in the State’s legal system, as well as coordinating with government agencies on cases filed by or against them. HE Minister Masoud bin Mohammed Al Amri affirmed that work is also underway to digitalize the Ministry’s services as part of an integrated plan for digital transformation. Several public services have been restructured, bringing the number of services provided up to 281 electronic services, most of which are delivered electronically in an integrated manner. He added that the real estate brokerage system has been launched in the Ministry of Justice, which provides a flexible and sophisticated portal for real estate brokers and the public. The system licensed more than 527 Qatari real estate brokers licensed and registered with the Real Estate Brokerage Department, licensed about 306 Qatari lawyers, and provided more than 274 accredited experts before the courts to provide various expertise, including accurate and rare expertise. His Excellency added that the Ministry finished the procedures of moving its official website into Microsoft Cloud as part of its digitalization plan, all transactions and authentication services in a single window have been converted to fully electronic transactions, launching an electronic portal to publish legal research in the Legal and Judicial Journal. Work is underway to complete the tasks the administrative units in the Ministry, apply modern technologies and artificial intelligence, and support departments with appropriate technologies and systems to raise work efficiency and facilitate transactions. The Ministry also completed the development of the strategic performance monitoring system “Goals”, which is considered one of the most important strategic projects to enable leaders to monitor the performance and progress of its strategic and operational projects. In the training sector, HE Minister Massoud bin Mohammed Al Amri stated that the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies of the Ministry is preparing to present the training plan for 2024, including about 104 specialized and mandatory training courses for the benefit of lawyers, lawyers, members of judicial bodies, judicial assistants, and prosecutors, with the large participation of about 35 government and quasi-governmental entities, and with the participation of 23 lawyers under training. His Excellency stressed that the training plan for 2024 includes the organization of specialized training courses in the fields of arbitration, real estate brokerage, anti-money laundering and financing of terrorism, and work is being done to activate and enhance the legal profession with national professional cadres in various legal and expert matters. His Excellency noted that these successive achievements and successes enhance the pioneering role of the State of Qatar in various fields, and confirm its progress in accordance with a wise vision that anticipates the future, and is inspired by the lofty principles and noble values established by the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, which generations after him followed. In conclusion of his statement to QNA, HE Minister of Justice Masoud bin Mohammed Al Amri said the commemoration of Qatar National Day comes in conjunction with a remarkable record of international achievements that add to the State’s honorable accomplishments after the successful hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the Doha 2023 Horticulture Expo which is a qualitative addition to the various initiatives adopted by the State of Qatar to ensure a safer and more stable future for all world nations.
