NASA Delays Crew-12 Return from International Space Station

Houston:NASA announced that the return of the Crew-12 crew from the International Space Station (ISS) to Earth has been postponed until Wednesday due to unfavorable weather conditions. The review of weather conditions and sea states in the splashdown area off the coast of California led to the decision to reschedule the return for Wednesday, Oct. 7.

According to Qatar News Agency, if the new timeline is maintained, the crew is expected to splash down in the Pacific Ocean on Thursday before being transported to NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

The Crew-12 spacecraft was initially slated to undock from the ISS on Monday, after the crew's approximately eight-month mission aboard the orbiting laboratory. The spacecraft, which launched on Feb. 13, remained in orbit longer than originally planned and on Sept. 3, set the record for the longest spaceflight by European astronauts, surpassing 230 days in orbit.
