NAO participates in Gulf Audit Institutions Deputies meeting


Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Deputy Auditor General for Administrative Audit at the National Audit Office (NAO) of Bahrain, virtually participated in the twenty-fourth meeting of the Deputies of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).



The meeting discussed the training plan for the years 2024-2025 and the operational training plan for 2023-2025, which were prepared by the NAO.



The participants were briefed on the topics of the sixth competition of the GCC for Research and Studies in the field of auditing and accounting and the proposal to update its regulations.



The meeting also discussed the proposal to sign two memorandums of understanding, one with the King Fahd Library and another with the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI).



The deputies reviewed the update of joint manuals (Performance Audit Manual, Audit Report Preparation and Writing Manual, Information Technology Audit Manual, Privatization Audit Manual, Governance Audit Manual, and Public Projects Audit Manual).



They also discussed the preparation of the draft agenda of the twentieth meeting of the Heads of SAIs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
