The police forces arrested a suspect who tried to throw a cigarette in the Kufa Mosque.
The Najaf Police Command stated in a statement: “The accused, who was arrested inside the shrine of Muslim bin Aqeel, peace be upon him, was trying to throw a cigarette inside the corridors of the mosque, and he was arrested immediately before he threw it.”
It added: “The preliminary results of the investigation confirm that the accused has a psychological condition and is mentally ill, and the investigations are still ongoing,” calling on all citizens to be careful in conveying any news or information and to verify the official sources./ End
