Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) 30 index closed on Sunday at 4,565.23 points, marking an increase of 4.2 points, or 0.09 percent, compared to the previous session’s close of 4,561.04 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading value for the day amounted to OMR 9,913,748, which represents a decline of 51.5 percent from the previous trading session’s value of OMR 20,422,042. Furthermore, the MSX report highlighted a decrease in market capitalization by 0.119 percent from the previous day, reaching about OMR 27.89 billion.
Non-Omani investors were active during the session, purchasing stocks worth OMR 551,000, which accounted for 5.56 percent of the total trading volume. Their sales, however, amounted to OMR 996,000, representing 10.05 percent of the total. This resulted in a net decrease in investment by non-Omani investors by OMR 445,000, or 4.49 percent.
