MoSDF Reviews Significance of Family Charter as Guide to Build Strong Community

Doha: The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MoSDF) has taken part in a panel discussion held at the Qatar University (QU) and discussed the tremendous role played by families in building a robust and sustainable community and supporting the national development strategies.

The event brought together participants from Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), alongside a host of academics and QU female students to mark the Family Day, introduce the Family Charter inaugurated by the MoSDF to promote familial values, underscore the importance of the charter and its governing values, as well as rights and duties, in addition to showcasing scientific research related to the tight-knit family.

The participants launched a mural for the charter to further guide the next generation towards building families that underpin tenets of religion, justice, and beneficence, with the charter being the most critical document for the local community to be directed towards high values that illuminate the way to achie
ve the familial cohesion and maintain the social development, since family is the nucleus of societies.

The Family Charter is consistent with the agreed international goals and UN purposes, in commensurate with the religion, national sovereignty, law, just moral system and the human nature accepted by the community.

Director of Family Development at the Ministry of Social Development and Family Dhabia Al Maqbali said family is the cornerstone of the society and the lynchpin of progression and renaissance in all communities with their varying cultures, pointing out that tight-knit families help stabilize the community.

The MoSDF annually celebrates this day with the objective of promoting the public awareness, familial and social cohesion, as well as reviving the Qatari inveterate familial values. The Ministry strives to strengthen the positive and moral values in upbringing sons and daughters, in addition to advancing the nation for the good of the community and creating a strong community that enjoys soci
al care in a sustainable environment that generates giving and dedication.
