The death toll from the earthquake that struck Morocco on Friday rose to 2,681, while the number of injured people reached 2,501, according to Morocco’s Ministry of the Interior.

The Ministry previously stated that concerned authorities continue their efforts to rescue and evacuate the wounded, aid the victims and mobilize all the necessary capabilities to deal with the effects of the “painful catastrophe.”
