Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) organized a Planning Forum for 2026 with the participation of supervisory leaders and employees from various sectors within the Ministry. The three-day forum aimed to enhance the culture of institutional planning and improve the readiness of the Ministry's units to implement the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030 and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's own strategy (2024-2030).
According to Qatar News Agency, a statement issued by the Ministry indicated that holding the forum underscores the Ministry's commitment to aligning its operational plans with the state's objectives, unifying the vision across departments and sectors, and ensuring the integrated implementation of priority initiatives and projects for 2026.
In his opening remarks at the forum, HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki stated that 2025 marked a significant milestone, during which the Ministry achieved accomplishments that contributed to improving the business environment, developing services, and enhancing investment attractiveness. He commended the efforts of the work teams and the level of integration among the Ministry's sectors, which contributed to achieving these results and established a solid foundation for launching the 2026 plan.
