DOHA: The Ministry of Interior's Airport Security Department organized a workshop on Monday focused on enhancing coordination to tackle security risks at airports. The event aimed to address vulnerabilities through collaborative efforts and innovative solutions.
According to Qatar News Agency, the workshop, titled 'Enhancing Joint Coordination in Addressing Security Risks,' was held at the Civil Aviation Authority building. It reviewed past security incidents to identify weaknesses and strategize new preventive measures. The event was attended by Staff Colonel Khamis Mohammed Al Muraikhi, Director of the Airport Security Department, alongside officers and representatives from various Hamad International Airport departments.
Staff Colonel Al Muraikhi emphasized that the workshop's goal was to facilitate the exchange of experiences and improve communication among all departments at Hamad International Airport. This initiative is designed to enhance the security framework and ensure passenger safety by adopting the latest methods to address potential security threats.
He further stated that the workshop aligns with the Ministry of Interior's commitment to the principle that security is a shared responsibility. It also aims to boost efforts by relevant authorities to study potential risks and develop recommendations that will ensure security stability and excellence in performance.
