HE Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Talaibek Ibraev said that the future of cooperation between his country and the State of Qatar in the field of energy is fruitful and promising, thanks to the great potential of countries in this vital sector.
In an interview with Qatar News Agency , he said that the visit from HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Kyrgyz Republic would contribute to advancing bilateral relations between the two countries and fostering joint cooperation, especially in the energy sector, wherein the two countries have extensive expertise and capabilities in both oil and gas energies and green sustainable energy.
He pointed out that his country is currently very interested in building electric power plants through sun, wind and water power, which is of interest to the wise leadership in the State of Qatar. Thus, opportunities to support and invest in this field will therefore have a promising future in cooperation between the two sides in order to strengthen trade and economic relations.
He added that the time had come for genuine partnerships between the two countries in the field of energy. The Kyrgyz Republic had considerable natural resources in the field of green energy and Qatar had considerable material, technical capabilities and expertise in that area. Therefore, whether through water dams, the sun or the wind, investment in building electricity generation capacities was very promising for both sides The Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic reviewed many of his countrys green energy projects power plants, also it has great potential to export a good amount of electric energy to Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as China, if all the planned power generation stations are completed, which require large investments in which the Qatari side can contribute.
Concluding his dialogue with QNA, the Minister of Energy of The Kyrgyz Republic stressed that HH the Amir’s visit to his country gave positive indications of the State of Qatar’s great openness to the Central Asian States, which foreshadows the development of the multiplicity of cooperation welcomed by his country.
