Doha: Meta has signed an agreement with generative AI lab Midjourney to license the startup’s “aesthetic technology” for the social media company’s future models and products.

According to Qatar News Agency, this partnership will help Meta develop products that compete with industry-leading AI image and video models, such as OpenAI’s Sora, Black Forest Lab’s Flux, and Google’s Veo.

The technical collaboration will link the companies’ research teams, Facebook parent’s chief AI officer Alexandr Wang said, adding that to deliver best products, Meta is combining top talent, a strong compute roadmap and partnerships with leading industry players.
