Doha:MEEZA QSTP LLC has awarded a construction contract worth over QAR 500 million to Elegancia Contracting and Industries for the development of a new data center. Elegancia is a subsidiary of Estithmar Holding QPSC.
According to Qatar News Agency, the new data center is a key component of MEEZA's expansion strategy aimed at addressing the increasing demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital transformation services. The announcement was made via the Qatar Stock Exchange website.
The facility is expected to significantly boost Qatar's ability to support hyperscale cloud providers and manage high-density AI workloads. This development will further solidify MEEZA's position as a leading digital infrastructure provider in the region and enhance the role of Qatar Science and Technology Park as a center for technological advancement and innovation.
