All members of the medical unit escorting the Qatari Hajj Mission have arrived at the Holy lands. The mission includes 36 medical practitioners, nurses, paramedics, and pharmacists so as to embark on providing comprehensive health care for the pilgrims of the State of Qatar during their stay at the accommodation compounds in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and when they perform Hajj rituals in the Holy Sites, namely Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.
The medical unit comprises a variety of specializations, such as internal medicine, cardiology, communicable diseases, emergency, ear, nose, and throat, first aid, and nursing. Also, the unit is escorted by a top-notch ambulance vehicle with world-class health capabilities.
The medical unit operates in collaboration with the professional health authorities in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is set to finalize the establishment of clinics in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah, during the coming days, to be in full swing to provide distinguished and comprehensive health care f
or the pilgrims of the State of Qatar. The unit will mobilize medical plans and personnel to provide health services in Muzdalifah and ensure that pilgrims are safe during the whole period of rites until the end of pilgrimage season.
Head of the medical mission, pharmacists and nursery unit have early arrived in the Holy lands to embark on finalizing all preparations and equipping the clinics at the mission’s premises in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, as well as Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah.
The task is conducted in collaboration with Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health, Hamad Medical Corporation and Primary Health Care Corporation since they are operating lockstep with the Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments in providing services to the pilgrims of Qatar, in coordination with professional medical authorities in Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, the unit comprises isolation chambers and clinics for both genders in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the Holy Sites, in addition to providing all essential treatments around the clock for the
pilgrims, since the State of Qatar gives foremost priority to ensure high-class amenities for all pilgrims, as well as best health care and public safety.
The medical unit will operate in proximity with the mission’s premises and escort the pilgrims of Qatar during their movements starting from the first rites until the end of pilgrimage rituals to safeguard their safety and respond to their requests.
The medical centers of the Qatari Hajj Mission had received the opening license a few days ago from the professional medical bodies at the Saudi Ministry of Health, following a visit made by a professional delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Health to the Qatari Hajj Mission to ensure that these centers comply with all essential requirements to obtain the license. Also, all Qatari medical cadres received the license to embark on their mission.
