Malaysia’s Higher Education Minister Highlights Importance of Amir’s Role in ASEAN-GCC Summit

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia’s Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, emphasized the importance of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s participation in the ASEAN-GCC Summit held in Kuala Lumpur.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir stated that the Amir’s involvement is crucial for Malaysia as it strengthens bilateral relations, which have evolved significantly over the years. He highlighted Qatar’s influential role in international affairs and the strategic significance of ASEAN and GCC collaborations, particularly between Malaysia and Qatar. The minister noted potential areas of cooperation, including trade, education, and human capital development.

The Malaysian Minister emphasized the shared interest of GCC and ASEAN in expanding their partnership, noting the dynamic nature of both regions.
