Malaysian Ambassador Praises Qatar’s Development and Diplomatic Achievements on National Day

Doha: HE Ambassador of Malaysia to the State of Qatar, Mohammad Faizal Razali, has highlighted the significant progress and achievements made by Qatar in the realm of comprehensive development. In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of Qatar’s National Day, the Ambassador commended the country’s solid foundations and wise leadership that have driven these accomplishments.

According to Qatar News Agency, Ambassador Razali extended heartfelt congratulations on behalf of Malaysia’s Embassy and the Malaysian community in Qatar to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the government, and the people of Qatar. Qatar National Day, marking its founding in 1878 by Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, is a time for Qataris to reaffirm loyalty and strengthen national identity and solidarity.

Ambassador Razali emphasized the shared celebration with over 6,200 Malaysians residing in Qatar, who find inspiration in the occasion to commit to a promising future guided by shared values and vision. He acknowledged Qatar’s role as a crucial regional and international mediator, noting its diplomatic effectiveness through a principled foreign policy that emphasizes dialogue, constructive engagement, and open communication channels.

Razali praised Qatar’s dedication to resolving complex disputes and mediating political reconciliations across various regions, including the Middle East. He noted Qatar’s central role as a trusted facilitator in negotiations to stop Israeli aggressions, highlighting the country’s commitment to dialogue and diplomatic engagement despite challenges.

Further emphasizing Qatar’s achievements, Razali pointed out the country’s rapid transformation across economic, human, and social fields. He credited these advancements to HH the Amir’s visionary leadership and the strategic implementation of the Qatar National Vision 2030. The Ambassador highlighted Qatar’s success in sustainable growth, economic diversification, and its ambition to become a leader in the digital economy and Artificial Intelligence.

On the bilateral front, Razali affirmed the strong and growing relationship between Malaysia and Qatar, characterized by mutual respect and strategic growth. He highlighted the expanding ties in trade, investment, and strategic sectors such as energy and technology. Additionally, Razali noted Qatar’s strategic engagement with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), positioning it as a pivotal link for connectivity between the GCC and Southeast Asia.

Looking ahead, Ambassador Razali expressed Malaysia’s commitment to deepening its strategic partnership with Qatar, focusing on innovative cooperation in high-tech investment, climate-resilient infrastructure, and talent exchange.
