A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck the province of Santiago del Estero in Argentina.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) stated that the earthquake was 39 km from the Suncho Corral in the region.
No material damage or injuries were reported from the earthquake so far, and no tsunami warning was issued.
For its part, the local authorities confirmed that they are monitoring the situation and advised residents to stay in their homes and follow safety measures in case of aftershocks.
