The Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the Ministry of Interior and the government related entities continue their joint efforts to intensify inspection campaigns against illegal practices in the Labor Market, in order to preserve a competitive, fair, and stable labor market.

LMRA announced it had conducted five joint inspection campaigns on Tuesday 6 June 2023 resulted in reporting violations related to the Labor Market and Residency laws. The cases were referred for legal action.

Two campaigns were held in coordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence of the Ministry of Interior in the Capital and the Northern Governorates.

The third campaign was carried out in the Southern Governorate in coordination with the Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and the Governorate’s Police Directorate.

The Fourth Campaign was conducted in the Capital Governorate in coordination with the Sentence Enforcement Directorate at the Ministry of Interior, as for the Fifth campaign in the Southern Governorate, it was coordinated with the Ministry of Electricity and Water Affairs, the Southern Governorate and the Southern Municipality.

LMRA renewed its call to all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by calling the authority’s call centre on 17506055.
