The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has affirmed that legitimizing settlement outposts is an intentional subversion of the two-state solution application, expressing its strong denunciation of endorsing the legitimization of five settlement outposts in the West Bank by the Israeli occupation government, along with its plan to construct thousands of new colonial residential units across the West Bank.
In a statement on Friday, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it was extremely alarmed by this move and deeply concerned about the ongoing settlement expansion crime being committed by the Israeli occupation government, in addition to entrenching the apartheid policy with the aim of blocking the opportunities of epitomizing the Palestinian statehood.
The statement stressed that Israel bears full and direct responsibility for the dangerous consequences of this act, along with its ramifications on the conflict zone and the entire region.
It emphasized that the settlement escalation in the o
ccupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, represents a flagrant defiance against the relevant international legitimacy’s resolutions, especially the resolution No. 2334 and Israel’s underestimation of the international unanimity that utterly rejects colonization as an encumberment in front of applying the two-state resolution.
On Thursday, the Security Cabinet of Israel endorsed the legitimization of five settlement outposts in the West Bank in preparation for constructing thousands of new settlement units across the Bank.
