Beirut: Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun spoke on the phone on Saturday with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani to discuss avenues for strengthening bilateral ties in a variety of fields. Speaking on the phone, Al Sudani stressed that Iraq backs all efforts that would help stabilize Lebanon and effectuate its sovereignty.

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Sudani underscored the importance of stepping up Arab joint action to confront challenges encountered in the region.
