A military source confirmed that the Lebanese army is closely monitoring the situation in the south of the country, and is confronting, in coordination with the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL), some Israeli tampering attempts in some of the occupied points, including the towns of Mays Ej Jabal and al Adaysah.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) today, the source expected there will be no escalation in the south of the country, stressing that matters are under control, following the fall of Israeli shells yesterday on some uninhabited areas in southern Lebanon.
He pointed out that the situation in southern Lebanon is witnessing a state of calm at the present time, stressing the full coordination between the Lebanese army and UNIFIL forces in this regard.
