Lebanese Health Ministry: Two Killed, 76 Injured in Israeli Raids on Beirut’s Southern Suburbs

The Lebanese Health Ministry has announced the death of two people and the injury of 76 others, in a preliminary toll of the Israeli raids that targeted the Haret Hreik neighborhood in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The ministry said in a statement that there are expectations that the toll will rise in the coming hours, in light of the continued search for victims amid the rubble of buildings destroyed by the raids.

This evening, Israeli warplanes launched violent raids on the Haret Hreik neighborhood in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that thick clouds of smoke covered the sky of the area, and the sounds of huge explosions were heard in Beirut and the suburbs.

It added that 6 buildings were leveled to the ground as a result of the series of raids on the southern suburbs.

Lebanon is exposed to extensive Israeli attacks targeting various governorates and regions, especially villages and towns in the south, which led to the killing and wounding of nearly 3,000 pe
ople, while the residents of the targeted areas were forced to flee in a large wave of displacement.
