Doha: The Lebanese army announced on Sunday that Israeli military forces continue to violate ceasefire agreements in southern Lebanon. These violations include shelling, demolition of homes, and other military operations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese army released a statement detailing that Israeli forces have consistently demolished homes and conducted shelling in various regions, specifically Kfartebnit in Nabatieh Governorate; Haddatha and Kounine in Bint Jbeil District; and Ibl al-Saqi, Khiam, Mansouri, Buyout Al Sayyad, and Majdal Zoun in Tyre District. Additionally, Israeli forces have reportedly seized rubble from border areas, destroyed a water project managed by the National Litani River Authority in Markaba, and set fire to olive trees and agricultural lands, notably around Aitaroun in Bint Jbeil District.

The statement highlighted that Israeli troops have opened fire near Lebanese army positions in Kfartebnit, Nabatieh Al Fawqa, and Zawtar Al Gharbiya, complicating army operations. Meanwhile, the Lebanese army is working to ensure the safe return of residents to Zawtar Al Gharbiya. Operations in Frun and Srifa are being conducted in collaboration with the Military Coordination Group for Lebanon (MCG4L) as part of the army's broader deployment in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese army emphasized that these attacks impede its complete deployment as per existing agreements, delay the return of residents, and obstruct efforts to re-establish stability in the region. Additionally, Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported that heavy Israeli artillery targeted Ali Al Taher hill near Nabatieh and the border town of Mais Al Jabal.
