Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Tuesday as the All Share Index lost 66.76 points to reach 8,847.09 points, a decrease of 0.75 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session witnessed 243.1 million shares valued at KWD 69.5 million (approximately USD 226.6 million) being exchanged through 18,342 transactions. The Main Market Index saw a significant drop of 318.13 points, reaching 8,898.35 points, marking a 3.45 percent decrease. This occurred through 120.5 million shares traded via 8,970 transactions, valued at KWD 24.1 million (about USD 78.5 million).
The Premier Market Index also experienced a decline, losing 16.70 points to stand at 9,295.38 points, down by 0.18 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 122.5 million shares across 9,372 transactions, with a total value of KWD 45.4 million (approximately USD 148.3 million).
Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index posted a slight gain, increasing by 17.57 points to reach 10,191.16 points, up by 0.17 percent. This uptick was supported by a stock volume of 82.2 million shares conducted in 5,591 deals, valued at KWD 17.3 million (roughly USD 56.4 million).
