Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower as All Share Index Drops

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday as the All Share Index lost 42.20 points to reach 8,916.53 points, a decrease of 0.47 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 651.7 million shares valued at KWD 116.6 million (roughly USD 355.6 million) were traded via 31,273 transactions. The Main Market Index saw a decline of 37.83 points, settling at 8,495.40 points, a decrease of 0.44 percent. This was achieved through 473.8 million shares conducted via 21,376 transactions, valued at KWD 59.6 million (roughly USD 182.3 million).

The Premier Market Index experienced a loss of 45.38 points, closing at 9,462.17, down by 0.48 percent. This was a result of 177.9 million shares traded through 9,897 transactions, with a value of KWD 57 million (roughly USD 174.4 million). Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index fell by 63.89 points to reach 8,626.07 points, a decrease of 0.74 percent. This occurred through a stock volume of 182.8 million shares completed in 10,753 deals at a value of KWD 28.6 million (roughly USD 87.5 million).
