Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower as All Share Index Declines

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday as the All Share Index lost 0.37 points to reach 8,504.45 points. As many as 400.7 million shares valued at KWD 84.9 million (roughly USD 258.9 million) were traded via 19,845 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index rose by 34.85 points to reach 7,851.64 points, marking an increase of 0.45 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 190.2 million shares in 9,393 transactions, valued at KWD 33.12 million (roughly USD 101 million).

The Premier Market Index, on the other hand, experienced a decline, losing 9.19 points to settle at 9,087.49 points, down by 0.10 percent. Transactions involved 210.4 million shares, conducted through 10,452 transactions, with a total value of KWD 51.8 million (roughly USD 157.9 million).

Meanwhile, the bourse Main 50 Index also saw a decrease, dropping by 42.94 points to reach 8,010.94 points, down by 0.53 percent. This was through a stock volume of 151.3 million shares executed in 6,024 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 26.9 million (roughly USD 82 million).
