Kuwait Bourse Closes Higher as All Share Index Gains

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday as the All Share Index gained 70.42 points to reach 8,598.42 points, an increase of 0.83 percent. As many as 819.3 million shares valued at KWD 136.7 million (roughly USD 447.1 million) were traded via 40,798 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index went up by 52.87 points to reach 7,452.38 points, an increase of 0.71 percent. This was achieved through 670.1 million shares executed via 31,178 transactions, with a total value of KWD 80.2 million (roughly USD 262.3 million).

The Premier Market Index saw an increase of 78.28 points, reaching 9,309.26 points, up by 0.85 percent. This performance was based on 149.1 million shares traded across 9,620 transactions, valued at KWD 56.4 million (roughly USD 184.5 million).

Meanwhile, the bourse Main 50 Index gained around 27.92 points to reach 7,452.03 points, an increase of 0.38 percent. This was achieved through a stock volume of 377.7 million shares conducted in 14,679 deals, with a total value of KWD 44 million (roughly USD 143.9 million).
