An Amiri order was issued today accepting the resignation of the government and assigning His Highness Shaikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al Sabah and his Cabinet to act as caretaker government, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

This order came within the framework and articles of the constitution and the National Assembly will be informed of the order which will be enforced from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
