Madrid: King Felipe VI of Spain discussed on Wednesday ways of strengthening bilateral relations with President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, during his current visit to Madrid. The two sides also discussed during the meeting the latest political developments and situations in Palestine, as well as the efforts made regarding a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, ensuring the entry of humanitarian aid, and the Israeli withdrawal from the Strip.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to stabilize the region and support humanitarian initiatives. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to fostering diplomatic ties and addressing pressing geopolitical issues. The meeting underscored Spain’s role in supporting peace efforts and humanitarian aid in the region.
