Amman, – King Abdullah II of Jordan met on Wednesday with a delegation from the House of Commons of the United Kingdom led by Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations, Alicia Cairns, who is vising Jordan.
King Abdullah II of Jordan reiterated his call for halting the war on Gaza Strip immediately and protecting civilians, noting the role of UK in pushing this direction forward and calling for protecting the critical medical facilities in the sector.
The situation in Gaza is deteriorating rapidly, he said, underscoring the importance of constantly getting humanitarian assistance into Gaza. He renewed his warning of the catastrophic consequences of widening the war in the region.
