Jaffaria Waqf Directorate (JWD) called on heads of Matams to attend the annual meeting for Matams and Hussaini processions’ supervisors in all governorates.
The meeting will be held on Monday July 10 in New Seasons Hall in Adhari Park, with the participation of officials from official entities, Matams and all those concerned with the organising of the Ashoora season.
A similar meeting for ladies will be held on Tuesday, July 11.
Yousif bin Saleh Al Saleh, Jaffaria Waqf Chairman, praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s support for religious rituals, especially Ashoora season.
He also hailed the support of the Kingdom’s institutions to revive this annual occasion in the best way possible.
Al Saleh expressed his appreciation for the government led by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He lauded the efforts of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, noting the follow-up of Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments in attending the needs for worship houses and religious rituals.
The Chairman affirmed JWD’s keenness to communicate directly with Matam supervisors through meetings in which they discuss their ideas and needs and are briefed on the directorate’s plans and projects to serve them better and enhance communication, especially during the Hijri month of Muharram.
