Jordanian King Abdullah II discussed today with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas the importance of continuing coordination with Arab leaders to support the Palestinian people in their just cause, while calling for a stop to all unilateral and illegal Israeli measures.
During the meeting, King Abdullah II stressed his country’s firm stance towards the Palestinian cause as well as the continuation of protecting and taking care of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem under the Hashemite Custodianship, warning of the danger of the continued absence of a political horizon and its repercussions on security and stability in the entire region.
For his part, Abbas appreciated Jordan’s stances and continuous support for the Palestinian people and its defense of the Palestinian cause in international forums.
