Jordan to Host Arab Ministerial Meeting on Israeli Policies

Amman: Jordan will host an Arab ministerial meeting on Wednesday to address Israeli policies impacting Jerusalem. The gathering includes foreign ministers from the Arab states that are part of the Arab Ministerial Committee, which is focused on international efforts to counter illegal Israeli activities in occupied Jerusalem. Additionally, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, and the foreign ministers from Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Malaysia will participate.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the meeting aims to discuss the situation in Jerusalem, particularly concerning its Islamic and Christian holy sites, to establish a unified stance against the escalating illegal Israeli measures that threaten the identity of the city and its sacred sites.

The committee, alongside Jordan, includes representatives from Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Iraq, Palestine, Qatar, Egypt, Morocco, and the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. This coalition seeks to address and counteract the ongoing challenges in Jerusalem, focusing on preserving its historical and religious significance.
