Jordan, Netherlands Discuss Bilateral Defense Cooperation

Jordanian Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Bisher Khasawneh discussed with Dutch Minister of Defense Kajsa Ollongren on Tuesday bilateral cooperation, in addition to a host of issues.

During the meeting, Khasawneh emphasized Jordan’s keenness to continue cooperation and coordination with the Netherlands on a number of issues of mutual interest, both on bilateral and European Union levels, pointing to the potential for enhanced bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially in tourism, trade, and the economy.

For her part, the Dutch Minister of Defense Kajsa Ollongren stressed the Netherlands’ keenness on enhancing cooperation with Jordan, particularly in the field of defense, exchanging expertise, and conducting joint training courses. She also underscored the close ties between Amsterdam and Amman and their armed forces.
